Consistos for Mac lets you continue using open/running applications on another Mac by synchronising their saved state and associated files and re(open/close) them.
Consistos must be running on at least two Macs to function — for more, it will uses one as a reference for other's changes (see Translocation).
It synchronises files in the home directories (folders/files can be (de)selected in the menu bar icon dropdown) and open macOS applications (.app) that were opened on a another mac running Consistos previously connected via a IP network —in the case of a bilateral network topology— or the server —in the case of a star-shaped network.
If a version conflict arises when (re)connecting two Macs (or a Mac & a server), it prompts to select the version to keep, then overwrites the other. To read & write other's mac and to securely transmit (translocate) saved application states, they are decrypted then reencrypted asymetritricaly.
Consistos uses Unison (Sieve tube) to synchronise files/data (Floem) .
Consistos comes from latin word consisto (which led to consistent) and OS (Operating System)
